Description:
This prelude (BWV 999), sometimes referred to as 'The "Little" Prelude in C Minor', was written by the German composer J. S. Bach, sometime around 1720. The piece was originally composed for the Lute-Harpsichord, but has since been adapted for instruments like the piano and guitar.

The piece is widely used as an etude, which is understandable given its dominant use of arpeggios in the right-hand.

There is much use of pedal-tones in the left-hand.The music features modulations into the dominant key of G minor, and some use of G major as well.
